টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ার আবির হাসান সাভারের একটা প্রতিষ্ঠানে চাকরি পায়। টেক্সটাইল কারখানাটি বিশাল বড় এলাকা জুড়ে। সুবিশাল খোলা জায়গার একেবারে মাঝখানে কারখানাটি। আশেপাশে কোন লোকালয় নেই, মাইলের পর মাইল কেবল ফসলের মাঠ। প্রতিষ্ঠান থেকে আবিরের জন্য যে বাসার ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে তা টেক্সটাইল মিল থেকে প্রায় সোয়া দুই কিলোমিটার দূরে। নয় তলা একটা উঁচু ভবনের একেবারে উপরের তলায় আবিরের ফ্ল্যাটটি। ফ্ল্যাটটিতে উঠার পর প্রথম দিকে সবকিছু ভালই চলছিন। কিন্তু কিছুদিন পর থেকেই অদ্ভুত আর ভয়াবহ ঘটনা ঘটতে থাকে তাদের সঙ্গে। নবদম্পতির সেই বিভীষিকাময় অভিজ্ঞতার কাহিনী তুলে ধরা হয়েছে এই বইটিতে।
